The scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst. Who can it be? One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until at the last, nerve-shredding moment the identity and the motive are finally revealed.
In her own inimitable style, Dame Agatha Christie has created an atmosphere of shuddering suspense and a brilliantly intricate plot where murder lurks around every corner.

After making its premiere in Nottingham in 1952, “The Mousetrap” opened in London, breaking numerous records and continuing to be the world’s longest running play. Now celebrating over 65 years in the West End, Agatha Christie’s classic whodunit story is a mixture of 1950s drawing-room comedy and murder mystery.
News on the radio reveals that a woman has been murdered, and a note is found attached to her body. This intricate story is set at a nearby guesthouse, where the residents become snowed in with no means of contacting anyone from the outside world. The cast of eight include the newly-married couple who own Monkswell Manor, a group of guests, and a detective who stays at the estate to question the residents. As the guests become more suspicious of each other, it becomes clear that no one is quite what they seem. Will the murderer be revealed before they target their next victim?
